How to Upload Your Release

Uploading your music correctly ensures fast approval and smooth distribution across all major DSPs such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL, and more.
Please follow this guide carefully to avoid delays or automatic rejections during Quality Control (QC).

1. Release Information

✔ Release Title

Enter the exact title of your release (Single, EP, or Album).
Avoid unnecessary symbols, emojis, or keywords that do not belong in the title.

✔ Primary Artist

Use the main performing artist’s name exactly as it appears on DSPs.
Avoid using labels, producer names, or misspelled variations.

2. Mandatory Metadata: Composer Full Name

This is the most important requirement.

To comply with DSP rules, you must enter a full legal name (Name + Surname) for every Composer on every track.

✔ Correct examples

  • John Smith
  • Maria Hernandez
  • Luca Rossi

❌ Incorrect examples (will cause rejection)

  • “Shakira Shakira” (duplicated name)
  • “The Beatles” (band name instead of real composers)
  • “J.D.” (initials only)
  • Artist stage names (unless they are the real legal name)

If the Composer information is incomplete, incorrect, or missing, the release will be automatically rejected during QC.

Add producers, lyricists, featured artists.
Use full names where required. Avoid aliases in Composer fields.

4. Audio File Requirements

  • WAV or FLAC preferred
  • Minimum 16-bit / 44.1kHz
  • No clipping, silence spam, or copyrighted samples
  • Must match the release title and artist

5. Cover Art Requirements

  • Minimum resolution: 3000 × 3000 px
  • No blurry or low-quality images
  • No social media logos, pricing, URLs, or contact info
  • No copyrighted images
  • Title and Artist must match exactly

6. Release Date

Choose a release date at least 7 days in the future to allow full processing and QC.
(For fast review, more time is always better.)

7. Final Check Before Submission

Before submitting your release for distribution, confirm:

  • Composer = Full legal name (required)
  • No duplicated names
  • No stage names in composer fields
  • Audio and cover meet technical standards
  • Artist name matches previous DSP profiles
  • No missing metadata fields

If everything is correct, click Submit for Distribution and your release will enter the QC queue.

Why These Rules Are Important

DSPs are becoming extremely strict with metadata accuracy, especially regarding Composer information and identity verification.
Correct metadata helps:

  • Faster QC approval
  • Avoiding automatic rejections
  • Preventing copyright disputes
  • Ensuring royalty transparency
  • Protecting your artist profile from strikes or content removal
